Lennie was getting beaten up even after George had said no one mess with him if you know whats good for you. In return someone ended up with a crushed hand and Lennie is scared he is in trouble.
Robie, the main character, was sent to her aunt’s house for the month. Her aunt had to travel and she is able to have the place to herself. When I think of music playing in the background I think of a happy, carefree song.
Malcolm was just arrested and the women who were with them fed the jury lies and they were let off the hook because they were white. Malcolm and his friend Shorty were sent to prison for 10 years.
Malcolm’s new job in Harlem was short lived. He was caught by the cops trying to hustle them but was let off with a warning. Even then his boss fired him from the bar. Malcolm turns to his friend Sammy for help and he sets him up dealing Marijuana.
Pearl harbor was just bombed and America is going to war. I think a sort of propaganda song would work for the current mood.
Malcolm had just moved out with his half-sister Ella into his friend’s apartment because he didn’t like that Ella tries to manage his life.
So far I’m enjoying X and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
Right now Malcolm has arrived in Boston and he’s found work shining shoes for people dancing in a ballroom. He’s exited about joining the party once they allow African Americans into the dance. The mood right now is very happy, upbeat, and lightweight so a song that fits that mood as well would work great.
